A New Perspective for Retirees on Physical Strength and Well-Being
Generally
speaking, when we were young, we often used to compare our present selves with
our selves from one year prior to track our physical growth. Similarly,
retirees who compare themselves in the same manner might find it hard to resist
the feeling of physical decline, which could have a negative impact on them
psychologically and physically. Therefore, it's better for retirees to imagine
comparing their present physical strength with their strength five years into
the future. This approach can help them feel a sense of being vibrant and
youthful, encouraging them to focus on living in the moment. Of course, this
comparison doesn't apply to mental growth, as the human spirit can be
continually refined through effort and self-improvement regardless of age.
