The Eternal Dance of Fear and Desire

People have been intuitively swayed by fear and greed since time immemorial, a phenomenon that remains unchanged in the present day. In fact, information technology appears to exacerbate these tendencies. For the continued survival and growth of human beings, both righteous fear and proper desire are unquestionably essential. Speaking of greed or desire, for instance, the absence of pure and appropriate desire would have prevented the construction of the civilization we have today. Conversely, the presence of greedy desire has led to the destruction of civilizations. Similarly, human history is marked by a cycle of building, destruction, and rebuilding. Drawing lessons from this historical pattern, it becomes paramount to enhance the education of the mind to effectively manage emotions, particularly fear and desire.
