Reflections of Growth: Learning from Others to Improve Ourselves

There is a Japanese proverb that says, "Observe others' behavior and improve your own." This means it is important to look at the positive traits of others and learn from what you may lack, while also noticing the negative traits you share and reflecting on them to improve yourself. In other words, other people are mirrors of ourselves. However, if we are arrogant to any degree, we tend to focus only on the flaws and mistakes of others, merely pointing them out or criticizing them. This mindset results in a significant loss of opportunity for personal growth.
