Balance Self Others

Human beings are part of nature and inherently social creatures, living their lives through mutual relationships with others. While it is essential to prioritize our own well-being, as we cannot live for others without first existing ourselves, a fulfilling life also requires contributing to the well-being of others. If we fail to take action for others, our social needs remain unmet, and without mutual cooperation, we may struggle to find meaning in our existence. To lead a fulfilling life, it is crucial to strike a balance between living for oneself and living for others. Being social beings means that the boundary between ourselves and others is not always clear-cut. Our words and actions—whether positive or negative—inevitably return to us. Furthermore, human beings are not only social but also emotional creatures. Ultimately, emotions often drive our actions more than logic. When we act towards others with kindness and goodwill, we receive positive feedback in return. Conversely, negative actions driven by unfavorable emotions can lead to negative consequences. In reality, people instinctively gravitate toward those who are kind-hearted and emotionally intelligent rather than those who rely solely on intellect and logic. Good emotions foster trust and connection, which are essential for meaningful relationships and personal fulfillment. Thus, cultivating positive emotions and acting with sincerity enhances both our own lives and the lives of those around us.
