Simplify Complexity

Even when a problem appears incredibly complex and daunting enough to make us lose heart before we begin, there is no need to fear it if many ordinary, responsible people have successfully dealt with similar problems before. The first step is to organize and analyze the facts—writing them down in detail, arranging them chronologically, categorizing them, identifying commonalities, or simplifying their structure—to clarify the problem, its causes, and the steps needed to solve it. By doing so, we organize and simplify our thoughts, significantly reducing the psychological stress caused by the problem’s initial complexity and making it easier to approach the solution with a positive mindset.
